Cutting Edge DNA Lab is Open in Queensland, Australia

On May 18, 2011, the Health Minister of Australia, Geoff Wilson, officially opened the upgraded DNA testing laboratory at Coopers Plains in Queensland.

Mr. Wilson stated that the Bligh Government's $7.6 million expansion of the DNA lab has put Queensland at the forefront of emerging forensic technology. It is Australia's most advanced DNA testing laboratory.  Wilson added that Queensland was currently the only state where information and test results were exchanged with police via computer link in real time.
